Surface Tension

Fresh milk, varnished plywood                                                                                                     600 x 300 x 300mm approx

Each morning a glass of milk is 'spilt' onto the top of seven plywood panels. The stack is then rotated for a week: yesterday's traces are filed out of sight below. Once the edge of the pool is touched or disturbed, the surface tension is broken and the liquid runs over until nothing remains.
