Black and white powder paint
200 x 200 cm approx

Corn Exchange, Leeds 2006

This work is an exploration into the process of map making. Data concerning new residents in the city was researched and collected. A pinch of black powder paint was used to represent each of these residents, and their whereabouts was mapped out across the ground. In this way, the cold objective data was personalised by the gesture of the artist.
